Coming Home

A Three-Day Mixed Media Art Retreat

Let's make the most of this beautiful day

Since we're together, we might as well say

Would you be mine, could you be mine

Won't you be my neighbor?
-Mr. Rogers

October 15–18 | South Haven, Michigan

Opening Reception: October 15

Coming Home is a three-day mixed media retreat exploring home as metaphor for self. Set on the grounds of a 64-acre working farm turned creative haven, over three days, you'll paint, gather, and connect with new friends and fellow artists. We will explore materials, get our hands dirty and let go of any fear of creating.

No experience requiredβ€”just a willingness to show up and play.

A colorful collage artwork of various painted houses, with some containing handwritten notes, drawings, patterns, and messages on the facades, set against a blue sky with scattered confetti-like elements.

  • An opening reception on October 15 to settle in, meet the group, and set intentions for the days ahead

  • Guided mixed media painting sessions layering paint, texture, and found materials

  • Time and space to work at your own pace, with support whenever you want it

  • Farm-to-table meals and time to wander the grounds between sessions

  • A closing ceremony in our wooden house neighborhood β€” a quiet, symbolic close to the weekend
